Excellent healthcare is available with fully equipped state-of-the-art hospitals and trained physicians, many of them bilingual and educated in the US. Because of the first-class medical attention obtained here, Panama has become a health tourism destination as the costs are much lower than in the US for the same services.
Panama is also a hub for air transportation, with several top airlines providing daily flights, some with two flights per day, to various destinations in North, Central and South America. Flights to and from the US are less than three hours making traveling back and forth relatively easy.
